Practical document support for parents representing themselves in family court

We are more than Just Documents
At NorthQuill, we don't believe Family Court support should feel like filling in a form, receiving a PDF and being left to figure out the rest.
We're parents, co-parents, part of a blended family and neurodivergent ourselves. We understand that behind every document is a real person dealing with real circumstances.
That's why we stay organised, keep track of agreed work, provide written summaries and check in with our clients throughout the agreed support.
We're professional. We're practical. But most importantly, we're human.
We don't just prepare documents. We organise the journey around them.

Family court paperwork doesn't need to feel overwhelming
NorthQuill provides practical, professional support with the administrative and document side of your journey.
From organising your evidence and preparing documents to helping you get your paperwork in order, we help turn overwhelming information into something clearer and more manageable.
NorthQuill provides administrative and document support only. We do not provide legal advice or legal representation.
You've' got enough to deal with.
Preparing for family court can feel overwhelming.
You may be trying to manage your case while dealing with statements, evidence, court documents, deadlines and a huge amount of information to organise.
You don't have to tackle this alone.
NorthQuill is here to provide practical support with the administrative side of your case, helping you organise your information and prepare your documents in a clear and structured way.
We help you make sense of the paperwork.
Not the legal decisions.
Not legal advice.
Not representation.
Practical document support - when you need an extra pair of hands.
Why are NorthQuill so different?
We are more than just documents
At NorthQuill, we know that Family Court is about far more than paperwork.
We’re not here simply to take your money, complete a form, send it back to you and move on to the next client.
We believe you deserve more than that.
NorthQuill was created by people who understand that life doesn’t always fit neatly into a form. We’re parents, co-parents, part of a blended family and neurodivergent ourselves. We’ve experienced the pressures, emotions, uncertainty and practical challenges that can come with family life — and we know that everyone’s circumstances are different.
That’s why our approach is personal.
From the moment you first contact us, we aim to be a friendly, knowledgeable and reassuring team around you. We don’t just want to know what document you need — we want to understand what you’re trying to achieve, what stage you’re at and what practical support you need along the way.
We stay involved.
When you work with NorthQuill, we keep track of the work being completed within your agreed scope, the information you provide and the actions that need to be followed up.
Conversations and agreed actions are documented, and we provide you with written summaries so you have a clear record of what was discussed and what happens next.
We’ll also check in with you where appropriate rather than simply disappearing once a document has been completed.
Because when you're dealing with something as stressful as Family Court, it's easy for information, conversations and tasks to become overwhelming or get lost.
We want to help keep everything organised.
We're human too.
We aren't simply a business sitting behind a screen.
We're real people with families, experiences, challenges and lives outside of NorthQuill.
We understand that sometimes you need someone to explain something again.
Sometimes you just need to know what you've already done.
Sometimes you need help getting organised.
And sometimes you simply need someone to say, "Okay. Let's take this one step at a time."
That's the kind of support we want NorthQuill to provide.
Professional when you need professionalism.
Practical when you need practical help.
Human when you need someone who understands.
We don't just prepare documents.
We organise the journey around them.

The Admin Lead
I genuinely love administration.
I’ve spent over 20 years building a career around administration, organisation, leadership and working with documents, and it’s something I’ve always taken pride in.
Over the years, I’ve developed a strong eye for detail and a real understanding of how to take large amounts of information and turn them into something clear, organised and manageable.
That’s a big part of why NorthQuill exists.
Family Court paperwork can feel overwhelming, particularly when you’re trying to understand what needs to be prepared, keep track of important information and manage everything alongside work, family and everyday life.
My role is to take some of that administrative pressure away — helping parents organise their information, prepare their documents and feel more in control of the paperwork side of their journey.
The Lived-Experience Lead
Our male co-founder brings something different: first-hand experience of navigating the Family Court process himself.
He understands the uncertainty, pressure and emotional strain that can come with representing yourself, and brings that experience to our practical hearing preparation and support.
For privacy reasons, and because he is currently involved in active proceedings, he works behind the scenes and remains anonymous for now.
Together, we bring professional administrative experience and genuine lived experience — two different strengths with one shared aim:
To make the paperwork and preparation side of Family Court feel a little less overwhelming.

Hearing confidence sessions
Preparing for a Family Court hearing is about more than just paperwork. It is about walking into the courtroom feeling organised, informed and as confident as you can be.
Our Hearing Confidence Sessions are designed specifically for parents representing themselves in Family Court. They provide a supportive, one-to-one opportunity to discuss the practical aspects of attending court, helping to reduce uncertainty and build confidence before your hearing.
The sessions are led by someone who has experienced the Family Court process personally and understands the emotions, pressures and uncertainties that parents often face. This lived experience, combined with NorthQuill's professional approach, creates a supportive environment where you can ask questions, talk through practical concerns and prepare for the day ahead.
During your session, we'll help you:
- Understand what generally happens on the day of a hearing.
- Review your paperwork and ensure it is organised.
- Discuss practical arrangements, such as arriving at court and what to expect.
- Identify any outstanding tasks before your hearing.
- Build confidence through preparation and organisation.
Our Hearing Confidence Sessions do not provide legal advice or tell you what to say in court. Instead, they focus on helping you feel prepared, organised and ready to navigate the practical side of your hearing with greater confidence.
Because while we cannot change the outcome of your case, we can help ensure you walk into court feeling better prepared for the journey ahead.
